I would like to upgrade from 2.3.3 to 2.5.1 using Fantastico (I installed 2.3.3 using Fantastico), but stopped when I saw the warning comment from Fantastico saying, “Click on Upgrade only if no files, languages, themes have been modified.”
After installing 2.3.3, I did have a designer customize the Kubrick theme to match my website. It has a different name (not “Kubrick”) and is in my themes folder. I googled for advice and found a blog called Easy WordPress which says that this warning comment doesn’t apply to themes (even though it says it does). ??? For some reason, I can’t comment to that blog; then I found this blog. What is your recommendation? Can I upgrade to 2.5.1 using Fantastico without Kubrick over-riding my customized theme? Or do I need to try installing the update manually (which I’ve never done).
Thanks for any advice
