GIF Image, 1×1 Pixels Mystery

If the screenshot below looks familiar to you, chances are you are having a problem like me, wherein everytime I login to Kontera to check my stats, or the the sitemeter to see my visitors, I can’t get inside the page and I was always stuck as illustrated below.

  kaspersky content filtering

GIF Image, 1×1 pixels Mystery

It’s not actually a mystery but I just want to to name it that way. :) If you are encountering this, there is a big possiiblity that your antivirus, or internet security that you are using is preventing the access to this site.  In my case I’m using Kaspersky.

To solve this issue you need to modify your content setting security.  I’l share you how to do it in Kaspersky Internet Security. For other internet security software, it will work the same way so just figure out how to modify the content filtering, white list the site and that’s it.

Here’s how I resolve the GIF Image, 1×1 pixels Mystery :)

1.  Double click the Kaspersky Internet Security Icon

2.  Then go to setting >> content filtering then click the setting buttong beside the “enable banner ad banner”.

 kaspersky ad block setting

3.  In the banner ad blocker dialog tab, add the site you want to whitelist.  In my case since I want to connect to kontera and sitemeter, i add in the white list the *.kontera.com, and the *sitemeter*.com  The * stands for the wild character.

4.  Click OK , Apply

That’s it.. :) the quick guide to fix the GIF Image, 1×1pixels problem.

THANKS man! u just helped me BIG TIME solve the “GIF Image, 1×1-pixel mystery”. I’m using Kaspersky, too, and that made it a lot easier.
btw, i have a pc in the office that has been attacked by a Surabaya virus (Surabaya in my birthday. Don’t kill me….). Couldn’t remove it. I already tried MBAM but it didn’t help. Tried editing the registry, too, following some advises I found from the internet when I googled “Surabaya virus”. but I couldn’t even get past Start-Run-cnd, the pc auto-shuts. Will u help me pls? THANKS SO MUCH!
