Following the phenomenal released of the new generation iPhone 3G is the Apple announcement on the recall of Apple Ultracompact USB Power Adapter. The warning was issued after Apple received reports that the prongs in the plug have been breaking off in the outlet resulting to risk for electrical shock.
Affected items are those ultacompact USB Power adapters supplied with every iPhone 3G sold in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Panama.

iPhone 3G Recall – USB Adapter Exchange Process
Replacement adapters will be available starting Friday, October 10, 2008.
There are two ways to exchange your current ultracompact Apple USB power adapter for a new, redesigned adapter.
- Order a replacement adapter via the web. These replacement adapters will ship within three weeks of your order, starting on Friday, October 10.
- Exchange your adapter at an Apple Retail Store starting on October 10.
