Setting up yahoo outlook is never been easy until the YPOPs! came out. With the multi platform mail client compatible YPops!, you can now seamlessly check your yahoo mail with outlook express, yahoo to outlook 2003, yahoo to outlook express 6, yahoo to windows live mail, thunderbird and other email clients you like to use.
Here are the instructions to setup your yahoo mail to other email clients:
First download the Ypops! here. Install then follow the steps below.

How to Configure Yahoo Mail to Outlook 2003
- Select Tools -> Email Accounts from the main menu
- Select Add a new email account and click on Next
- Select POP3 as the Server Type. Click Next
- Enter your username and full Yahoo! email address under ‘User Information’
- Enter your Yahoo! Login id and password under ‘Logon Information’
- Enter ’127.0.0.1′ as your Incoming mail server
- Enter ’127.0.0.1′ as the SMTP server as your outgoing mail server
- Click on the More Settings button and select the Advanced tab
- Increase the Server Timeout to ‘Long’ (10 minutes)
- Select the Outgoing Server tab
- Enable “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”. Select “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”.
- Click Ok to close the More Settings dialog
- Click Next and then Finish
How to Configure Yahoo to Outlook Express 6
- Select “Accounts…” from the “Tools” menu.
- Click “Add” button and select “Mail…”.
- Enter your name and click “Next”.
- Enter your email address and click “Next”.
- Set “My incoming mail server is a” to POP3
- Set “Incoming (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) mail server” to “127.0.0.1″.
- Set “Outgoing (SMTP) mail server” to “127.0.0.1″ and click “Next”. (Verify that SMTP is enabled in YPOPs.)
- Set “Account name:” to your Yahoo! login.
- Set “Password:” to you Yahoo! password and hit “Next”.
- Hit “Finish”.
- Click on new account named “127.0.0.1″ and hit “Properties”.
- Rename account to “YPOPs” or something nice.
- Select “Servers” tab.
- Check “My server requires authentication”.
- Select “Advanced” tab.
- Change “Server Timeouts” to Long – 5 minutes.
- You may wish to select “Leave a copy of messages on server”. This way the messages will not be deleted from Yahoo! when you download them.
- You may wish to select “Remove from server when deleted from ‘Deleted Items’”. This way when you delete a message in OE and empty the trash it’s deleted from Yahoo! as well.
How to Configure Yahoo to Outlook Express
- Select Tools -> Email account from the main menu
- Select Add a new email account and click on Next
- Select POP3 as the Server Type. Click Next
- Enter your username and full Yahoo! email address under ‘User Information’
- Enter your Yahoo! Login id and password under ‘Logon Information’
- Enter ’127.0.0.1′ as your Incoming Mail Server
- Enter ’127.0.0.1′ as the Outgoing mail server
- Click on the More Settings button and select the Advanced tab
- Increase the Server Timeout to ‘Long’ (5 minutes)
- Select the Outgoing Server tab
- Enable “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”. Select “Log on using” and enter your Yahoo Mail address as the username and your Yahoo Mail password as the password.
- Click Ok to close the More Settings dialog
- Click Next and then Finish
How Setup Yahoo to Windows Live Mail
- Click the SHOW MENU (ALT+M) button at the top right of the WLM window then click on SHOW ALL MENUS. You should now see FILE, EDIT, VIEW, TOOLS, ACTIONS, and HELP at the top of the WLM window.
- Click TOOLS > ACCOUNTS. Click the ADD button.
- Select E-MAIL ACCOUNT then click NEXT.
- Enter your Yahoo! e-mail address, password, and your name as you would like for it to appear to people you send e-mail to. Check the box in front of “Manually configure server settings for e-mail account.” Click NEXT.
- Make sure to use lower case letters for your username. The username is just the username, not the full Yahoo! e-mail address. The INCOMING and OUTGOING servers are both “127.0.0.1″ (no quotes). Check the box in front of “My outgoing server requires authentication”. Click NEXT then click FINISH.
- With the ACCOUNTS window still open, select your Yahoo! e-mail account and click PROPERTIES. Click the ADVANCED tab. Move the SERVER TIMEOUTS slider all the way to the right so the server timeout becomes 5 minutes.
- Optionally, you may or may not want to keep e-mails on Yahoo! If you DO NOT WANT to keep e-mails on Yahoo!, uncheck the box in front of “Leave a copy of messages on server”. Click APPLY then click OK.
- Click CLOSE on the ACCOUNTS window to close it.
How to Setup Yahoo to Thunderbird
- Click Tools-> Account Settings
- Click Add Account button.
- Choose Email Account. Click Next
- Type name and email address in the boxes. Click Next
- Choose POP and type ‘localhost’ as the incoming server.
- Depending on your preferences check or uncheck Use Global Inbox
- Click Next. If your username is not already there by default, add it.
- Click Next. Add the way you want your Account Name to look in Thunderbird.
- Click Finish.
- Now scroll down to the bottom of the Account Settings pane and click on Outgoing server (SMTP).
- Click on Advanced. Click on Add.
- Type 127.0.0.1 as the outgoing mail server. Port default is 25.
- Check Use name and password. This is Thunderbird’s way of enabling authentication.
- Type your Yahoo user name as username@yahoo.comThis e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
- Click No to Use secure connection and then OK twice.
- Click OK to the Server Settings window.
- Now get back into Account Settings
- Go back to the Server Settings of you Yahoo Account in the Account Settings pane.
- Do not check Use secure connection (SSL) or Use secure authentication.
- Click on Advanced.
- Choose where you want your emails to go in the POP tab.
- Click on the SMTP tab and click on the drop down menu and select 127.0.0.1:25
- Continue modifying any of your preferences in the account and then click on OK.
The first time you try to access the account, Mozilla will ask for a password and if you want Mozilla to remember the password.
If you find a need to increase the timeout value when downloading emails, try this:
- Search for mail.server.serverx.timeout in Thunderbird about:config
- Add one for the above account for 600 seconds
How to Configure Yahoo to Outlook XP
- Select Tools ->Email accounts from the main menu
- Select Add a new email account and click on Next
- Select POP3 as the Server Type. Click Next
- Enter your username and full Yahoo! email address under ‘User Information’
- Enter your Yahoo! Login id and password under ‘Logon Information’
- Enter ’127.0.0.1′ as your Incoming Mail Server
- Enter ’127.0.0.1′ as the SMTP server as your outgoing mail server
- Click on the More Settings button and select the Advanced tab
- Increase the Server Timeout to ‘Long’ (10 minutes)
- Select the Outgoing Server tab
- Enable “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”. Select “Log on using” and enter your Yahoo Mail address as the username and your Yahoo Mail password as the password.
- Click Ok to close the More Settings dialog
- Click Next and then Finish

I have a problem it says my password is wrong but its not

Everything is right, but when I send/receive to Synchronize yahoo with outlook it gives me this error.
Task ‘www.yahoo.com: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.’ reported error (0x800CCC35) : ‘The server cannot process the request. You may not have cookies enabled for your e-mail server’s domain. To enable cookies, check your browser’s privacy settings.The server responded ‘Method Not Allowed’. ‘
My cookies is enabled but it still does’nt work.
What do I do now?

I ‘m getting this error msg while configuring Outlook 2003 pls help
